On the afternoon of Wednesday, December 5, a Toro Dingo mini skid-steer machine, trailer and other equipment was stolen from the personal residence of a volunteer member of Earth Riders Trails Association, Inc a recognized 501(c)3 in Kansas City, Missouri. The machine is a model 425 Dingo manufactured by Toro. The trailer was manufactured by Eagle Trailer in Lawrence, Kansas. Also stolen were two Stihl string trimmers (models FS190 and FS250), a Shindaiwa Backpack blower, a PA system, and three Craftsman roll-around toolboxes with tools.

Thank you for all that came out for Spiderfest 2011. You helped us raise over $2000 for the ERTA trail systems! The event keeps getting bigger every year. We would like some feedback on things that we could improve on to make the event better. I think the one improvement we can all agree on is DRY TRAILS, but we know we can do better in other areas, especially with more families attending. As with the trails this event is 100% volunteer driven and the price of admission - FREE is still a bargain. Tell us how we can make this more fun for 2012.

Shawnee Rotary Club awards grant to ERTA

Shawnee_Rotary_GrantOn April 25th, 2011the Shawnee Rotary Club Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant Earth Riders Trail Association (ERTA), designated for use on the new Free Ride trail area at Shawnee Mission Park!  Present to accept this grant on behalf or ERTA were Ken Miner and Patrick McCue (pictured on the right - click to enlarge)

This grant couldn't have come at a better time for this project. A great thanks goes out to the Shawnee Rotary Club Foundation for providing us with this opportunity to expand this project and boost it into overdrive!

Elite Cycle Raises funds for ERTA!

On Friday April 15th, Salsa Cycles and Elite Cycling held a fundraiser to benefit our area trails. A big THANK YOU to Salsa Cycles, Elite Cycling and to all who contributed time and money to this effort, which raised nearly $450 for ERTA!
